Kids Kitchen is all signed up to the food charter launched in Herefordshire – pledging to cook, grow, eat, share good food!
The Herefordshire Food Charter is an initiative of the Herefordshire Food Alliance, a network of individuals and organisations from across the county involved in local, community and sustainable food action.
It’s an obvious ‘yes’ for us to sign up to something so similar to what we’re trying to do every day – great food activities that build community without destroying the planet.
And there is lots more we can do – we’ll be aiming to increase the amount of local food that we use in our family cooking sessions, reduce our waste and link our families to community growing schemes, spreading the word about how we can influence the future of our food system. And all while creating fun toddler sessions 🙂
If you’re in Herefordshire you can sign this too – either as an individual or an organisation.
Check out the Kids Kitchen sessions in Herefordshire here. You can also join the list and we’ll let you know when new sessions appear – we’re recruiting for new session leaders and trainees so there is more planned!
