For all of you at school, nursery or otherwise engaged on a Tuesday – Saturday cook sessions are GO!
We thought we’ll kick things off with a Halloween themed recipe: Spooky Stuffed (and Carved) Peppers. Joins us: toddlers, primary school kids, teenagers! The whole family cooking together, spending an hour on Saturday morning being creative in the kitchen and getting lunch sorted at the same time. This is a very adaptable recipe so joins us whatever you have on hand. Book here!
We will ask for a £5 donation – but you can give what you like.
What you might find useful:
Grains (rice or couscous or something more adventurous like bulgur wheat or whatever that pack of grain at the back of your cupboard is…)
Spring Onions (or regular onions, or even leeks)
Peppers (or you can stuff something else, a small squash maybe – or even a pumpkin although that would take quite a while to cook…)
Fresh or dry herbs
Tomato pure (optional)
Other veg (whatever you have handy, optional…)
A short note about ingredients: we try to use local and seasonal produce and tweak recipes accordingly. Tweaking is also necessary at the moment now that we can only leave home for essentials. For this reason we’ve given you loads of options, please don’t be daunted by them! We will also help with substitutions on the day so don’t worry if you are missing some bits.
Our online weekday sessions are free but if you are able to support our work, we rely on donations for much of what we do. Thank you! ????????????
