Weekend Cookalong: 27th March

We are hopping with excitement to be able to invite you to another a weekend cookalong!

So roll up your sleeves, grab your spoons and join us in the kitchen.

Here at Kids Kitchen we want cooking to be a family activity with the kids – of all ages – doing as much or as little as they can and want. We can provide you with some super easy tips, safe techniques and, hopefully, something yummy at the end! All our recipes are plant – based and super easy to adapt to your families taste so come along, get stuck in and lets create together!

These bunny scones are absolutely delicious and a super fun way to get the kids involved in the kitchen!

Ingredients (for the bunnies)

▪ A carrot

▪ Self – raising flour

▪ Baking powder

▪ Oil

▪ Milk of choice

▪ Marmite (or tomato puree if you dislike marmite)

▪ Sunflower seeds

Ingredients for the beany dip

▪ Tin of beans (drained and rinsed)

▪ A lemon

▪ Garlic

▪ Fresh parsley

▪ Oil


Big bowls

Knife (child safe – table knives are fine!)

Chopping board

Oven tray

Rolling pin

Wooden Spoons

Pastry brush

Scissors (child-safe!)

Potato masher

Pizza cutter (if you have one but a knife will be fine)

A grater

As with all our sessions, we encourage you to adapt the recipes depending on what you have in the cupboard and are always happy to discuss different options during the session. Getting the kids involved is always our aim but please don’t worry if they aren’t in the mood to cooperate – we’ve all been there and our sessions are always fun, friendly and absolutely no pressure! You don’t even need to have your camera on if you don’t want to!
