Want to build your work skills? Live in Waltham Forest?

Are you struggling to improve your chances of future employment while caring for your young family? Read on!

We are offering training in cooking with families completely free, plus 1-1 coaching to help you move into work in sustainable food and with young families.

Training includes:

  • An interactive online course with friendly facilitators who’ve been through this process themselves. Find out more about Annie and Aneta who both started through attending sessions with their kids, and then training with Kids Kitchen.
  • A dedicated online network with people learning together, and the experience of other session leaders who have gone through the process of learning how to cook from scratch with groups of families.
  • Individual support to take what you’ve learned – and use it in CVs, application forms, and interviews to get the job you want.

We invite you to take part in our friendly Kids Kitchen sessions to get a feel for what we are about. You and your children will have a great time.

Then you will be able to take part in our training which is live, online and in one hour chunks – and with a mute button, so if you’ve got a child with you that’s no problem! It’s all very interactive, with videos, quizzes and lots of examples of the work we do.

Beyond the training, one of our experienced session leaders will work with you to share what you’ve learned (or proved you already know!) for future employers, and look for the work you want to take your learning into.

Because of the funding support we have for this project, the opportunity is open to people who are not employed and who live in Waltham Forest. We will unfortunately need to see evidence of your employment status, your right to work in the UK and of where you live. If you meet the requirements please get in touch as we may be able to help you gather the evidence needed.

If you are interested in the training but don’t meet the criteria please let us know and we may be able to help in other ways.

Interested? You can find out more here, or email elondon@kidskitchen.org.uk and we’ll get in touch to talk you through the next steps.
