We are working on a big scale project with London Borough of Waltham Forest (See blog HERE about it) and we are going to need a few extra pairs of hands!
Can you help Kids Kitchen distribute our recipe bags to families in one of four Hubs in Chingford, Walthamstow, Leyton and Leytonstone? Please get in touch with Alice [email protected] or 07706 234131
The main tasks that the volunteer will perform:
- Be a friendly face to greet the families and make sure the bags are given to those who signed up for the scheme
- Pass on feedback to the Kids Kitchen team using agreed online forms
- Answer simple questions about recipes and ideas, using prepared information
- Refer families to Kids Kitchen for further information
The volunteer will need to have the following skills/attributes for this role:
- Organized, able to manage tasks in a clear order
- Comfortable using simple forms and tables online
- Friendly and able to relate to a range of different people
- Good communicator
- Able to listen and follow an agreed procedure
- Excited by Kids Kitchen’s values – promoting sustainability, improving wellbeing and creating opportunity
Availability
- One day a week for 2 hrs in term time
