I must say we are really enjoying this new format. It’s very relaxed and stress free for all involved and it has been a pleasure being able to chat with some lovely parents while watching little hands at work.
For those of you who haven’t been before: this is a half hour session of fun for the kids and whilst they engage with a simple food based sensory play activity we can chat over a hot cuppa- about food, recipes or anything else that takes our fancy – just like a normal playgroup!
This sessions happen every other Tuesday and the next one is on the 1st of December at 11am.
Two of our session leaders will be there to facilitate the activity and discussion and to answer your questions and share tips and ideas.
This week we’ll get the kids tearing (and snipping and cutting).
What you’ll need:
Some leaves. That’s it! They can be spinach or herbs or salad. Plus some kid scissors or knives (but they can just use their hands too) and a chopping board if you want to get really fancy…
We will chat about how you can then make lunch with what your kids have prepped (you can make a pasta, a salad, a pasta salad, lots of options!) but no pressure, it also works simply as a cheap, fun and eco-friendly play idea so even if you have left overs for lunch the important thing is we had some fun (and you could freeze the leaves to use another time…)!
If you have any questions about the session feel free to get in touch. We can’t wait to see you!
