Spotlight on: The Herefordshire Team

Who could have guessed just over a year ago how much change and adaptation would be needed, not just as an organisation but also personally. Kate, our hub co-ordinator is taking some time with her new baby (welcome Euan!) and we are now under the guiding light of Rebecca, who is not only supporting the coordination of the Herefordshire team (no small matter) but is also one of the founder-directors of Kids Kitchen. Our team has two new session leaders; Molly and Kay have both completed our training course this year.

This year we have continued to support Leominister Food Bank with regular ingredients bags, we have also begun a relationship with The Living Room in Hereford, which in itself is a new social enterprise, who have provided support to many members of the wider community with housing and their community larder.

In addition to the ingredients bags, both Kate and Molly worked with The Big Skill to run cook-along sessions online, an enjoyable, engaging and a fantastic way to connect with and support a wider community.

Molly also supported another online session, working with a member of our wonderful East London Team making Scone Bunnies just before the Easter break this year.

Whilst none of this was without challenge, it was made easier by our wonderful team, who continued to support and inspire in so many different ways.

And whilst we haven’t yet been able to confirm when we will next be able to meet in person for sessions, we are working hard behind the scenes and cannot wait to be back with you all, laughing, playing, cooking and eating!

We are planning sessions in both Hereford and Leominster – Sign up to our mailing list to hear more.
