Aneta, South East London Coordinator, and East London session leader Alice had the privilege to attend the last Small Change Big Difference event on the 23rd of November 2019. Organized by Groundwork London at The Centre for Literacy in Primary Education on Webber Street, the event was a chance to extend our network by meeting new people, projects and potential partners. Aneta and Alice exchanged ideas on how we can collectively help our city reduce food waste and bring about healthy sustainable eating.
Alice said she thought it was very inspiring in terms of seeing what other organizations do in communities around London and how Kids Kitchen fits so well within this world of grassroots change.
It was the perfect setup for discussions on how we can make a difference as community leaders by sharing the campaign messages and combat food waste alongside other session leaders like Denny from Big Local Newham, Mex from Women in the Food Industry, Olcay from Transition Town and Redbridge GreenFair and Demian from The Felix Project.
We embrace the opportunity to spread our impact and join Groundwork London in their actions for changing places and lives for the better in some of the capital’s most disadvantaged neighbourhoods.
