Kids Kitchen Online: 28th of April. Chips and Dip

A big part of what we do at Kids Kitchen is building confidence and share skills with parents. We are so happy we are still able to do it in these challenging times. Join us. Camera on or off, with creative inspiration or a foggy head, with kids at the table or climbing on your head. We've all got to make lunch, we may as well have some company while we do it. Next Tuesday - Carmen, coordinator for East London and Alice one of the sessions leaders in East London (hopefully joined by their very experienced but also very independent children) will make chips and dips, another great recipe to add to your repertoire. Book here (Bookings will close at 10.15am Tuesday, and after that you'll receive an email with a 'zoom' link to join. Room opens 10.45am, session starts 11am) You don’t need anything special to take part. You don’t even need to be in the kitchen! Find a space on a table, in a corner, on a picnic blanket... What you might find useful:

And ingredients...

For the chips: Root Veg (whatever you have but potatoes, sweet potato, carrots are all great, you can also add some softer veg like courgettes)

Oil

Herbs and Spices (paprika, cumin, ground coriander, garam masala, rosemary, thyme, etc...)

For the dip: Chickpeas (or other beans)

Garlic

Coriander (or other fresh herbs)

Tahini

Oil

Lemon


A short note about ingredients: we try to use local and seasonal produce and tweak recipes accordingly. Tweaking is also necessary at the moment now that we can only leave home for essentials. For this reason we've given you loads of options, please don't be daunted by them! We will also help with substitutions on the day.
