We are doing our best to keep the sessions relaxed so kids feel free to get involved in their own terms. That sometimes is the key, let them join in as and when they want to. Join us. We are just making lunch, together, in virtual company, with a lot of loud kids (and the help of a mute button!), sharing tips for cooking for your family. Next Tuesday -Carmen will talk you through our gnocchi recipe with the help of our Italian expert Alice, both from our East London Hub. Book here (Bookings will close at 10.15am Tuesday, and after that you'll receive an email with a 'zoom' link to join. Room opens 10.45am, session starts 11am) You don’t need anything special to take part. You don’t even need to be in the kitchen! Find a space on a table, in a corner, on a picnic blanket... For the gnocchi: Boiled Potato
Other boiled or steamed veg (you could use spinach, squash or a little tomato paste to give the gnocchi some colour)
For the sauce (optional, the gnocchi are also lovely with just some oil and lemon zest and/or herbs):
Passata or chopped tomatoes
Herbs (oregano or basil are best but feel free to experiment)
A short note about ingredients: we try to use local and seasonal produce and tweak recipes accordingly. Tweaking is also necessary at the moment now that we can only leave home for essentials. For this reason we've given you loads of options, please don't be daunted by them! We will also help with substitutions on the day.
