cooking with kids Mid Devon

After 6 months of amazing sessions, unfortunately Kids Kitchen Mid Devon is currently paused whilst we look for a new hub coordinator and session leader to run sessions here. But don’t fret, we’ll be back as soon as possible.

After completing her training with us in May. Lois our session leader has been running popular monthly sessions in Uffculme- cooking with over 20 families and more than 60 people over the past six months. “We’ve met some fantastic families and together have made some cracking recipes including burgers, biryani, pizzas, pumpkin gnocchi and focaccia with hummous- all delicious and all lots of fun to make together” said Lois.

The families loved the sessions and the new recipes that they tried “Couldn’t believe how quick and easy it was – and tastes better than shop bought (hummous)” commented one parent after a session. All the recipes that were tired at the sessions are now on the Kids Kitchen Collective network – head there to hear more about each session and for recipe inspiration to try at home.

Lois is moving house and leaving Mid Devon and is heading to Cornwall. So watch this space for session in Cornwall soon!

If you have been along to one of our sessions and think you have what it takes to be a Kids Kitchen session leader (or perhaps you’ve just heard about us and love what we do) then please take a look at our training page for more info on how to get involved. Click here for further information.

“Thank you so much to everyone who’s joined us at sessions in Mid Devon and thank you to the Lived Experience Fund who helped fund some our sessions”.

Thank you again to Lois for setting up and running the sessions. Please join our newsletter or keep checking back for updates and we hope to be able to welcome you back to sessions shortly.
