Kids Kitchen is coming to Wychavon

We’re so excited to announce that we’ve teamed up with Wychavon District Council to set up and run a new Kids Kitchen hub in the area.

We’re currently looking for volunteers to join our online training programme which starts in January. Thanks to funding from the council the training is completely free for trainees.

The online training programme starts on the 9th January with a no-obligation discovery session. After this, trainees can join our six week online training programme which includes a 6 module course, 1-1 sessions with an experienced Kids Kitchen session leader and live zoom sessions to guide them to become a Kids Kitchen session leader.

The training will enable trainees to learn how to:

  • Make group sessions fun (for both adults and kids!)
  • Keep sessions safe and healthy
  • Include kids and adults in the cooking process
  • Recipe planning for group cooking
  • How to choose appropriate kitchen tools
  • How to plan a pressure-free community session

At the end of the 6 week training and completion of everything, trainees will become a volunteer Kids Kitchen session leader.  This is a new hub for Kids Kitchen so there will be a newly appointed local hub coordinator too to help you set up and run sessions in the area.
