Kids Kitchen Teams Up With Kinship Hub

Online family cooking session

We’re so excited to announce our new partnership with Kinship Hub to bring you a whole new set of Zoom cooking sessions.  We’ll be running five fun online sessions, some exclusively for kinship carers, throughout May, June and July all run by Anna-Lou the founder of this great organisation. Kinship carers look after relative’s children when they’re not able to be with their parents. For more info see below.

Just like our face to face sessions, our virtual sessions are a friendly space for you to pop in on a weekday morning, enjoy some play, chat and get some lunch made for your little ones.  Book on for free (donations welcome) and you’ll be sent a recipe and information in advance so that you can prepare and be ready to get started.  Simply log on to via Zoom on the day and meet other families, perfect if you can’t get out of the house.

The sessions will run fortnightly, alternating between exclusive kinship carers sessions and sessions open to all families.  We’ll be cooking healthy and delicious food from scratch and everyone will have fun while learning something new.

About Kinship Hub

Are you raising a relative’s or a friend’s child because they cannot live with their parents? If so, you are a kinship carer! There are approximately 200,000 kinship carers in the UK, although the actual number is likely to be much higher. Kinship carers do an amazing job raising children in difficult circumstances, often with very little support. We want to bridge the gap by providing a fun activity to do with your child, helping you bond and build trust, all while cooking some delicious and healthy food! Join us for some fun online sessions in May, June and July, and please check the Kinship Hub website for more information on support available to kinship families- https://www.kinshipcarershub.org/
