After the lovely weather we’ve been having we thought we would try and hold on to summer for a bit longer with this aromatic and flavourful salad.

Small jar with a tight lid
Chickpeas (from a tin or soaked and precooked) – You can use other beans too
Salad Veg (cucumber, spring onions, carrots, tomatoes)
Fruit for the salad (apples, pears, pomegranate)
Fresh Herbs (coriander, mint)
Lemon or Lime
Other spices optional (garam masala, coriander, fresh chillis…)
Tamarind paste or dates (optional)
A short note about ingredients: we try to use local and seasonal produce and tweak recipes accordingly. Tweaking is also something we got used to when we were only leave home for essentials and we have fully embraced it, it helps with avoiding food waste which is great. For this reason we’ve given you loads of options, please don’t be daunted by them! We will also help with substitutions on the day.
