To celebrate the king of the autumnal harvest we thought we’ll prepare this wonderful gnocchi recipe. This is not only delicious but it’s also a great sensory activity for the littler ones. We’ll spend lots of time playing with the dough and talking about smells and textures.
Aneta our most experienced session leader and coordinator for South East London will talk you through the recipe Book here (Bookings will close at 10.15am Tuesday, and after that you’ll receive an email with a ‘zoom’ link to join. Room opens 10.45am, session starts 11am)You don’t need anything special to take part. Below are the ingredients you’ll need but if you are missing something don’t worry we’ll talk you through substitutions. We have started to add quantities as it was suggested by one of our attendees.
What you might find useful:
Potato Musher (or a fork)
Boiling pan and frying pan
About 2 mugs of chopped pumpkin or squash (half a medium one) for session please have them oven roasted or pre-cooked check with the fork if it is ready
One potato pre-cooked
2 mugs of flour plus more for dusting and kneading
2 tablespoons olive or sunflower spread
A few leaves fresh sage
Salt and Pepper to taste
A short note about ingredients: we try to use local and seasonal produce and tweak recipes accordingly. Tweaking is also necessary at the moment now that we can only leave home for essentials. For this reason we’ve given you loads of options, please don’t be daunted by them! We will also help with substitutions on the day.
Our online weekday sessions are free but if you are able to support our work, we rely on donations for much of what we do. Thank you! ????????????
