What could be better than quality time spent with the kids, in the great outdoors, doing something you all love?

We believe that quality time spent with the kids is so important for the soul. We are also firm believers that time spent with the kids shouldn’t always be about kid focused activities and that sometimes we need some grown-up time too. Festivals are the perfect way to combine quality time with activities that interest all ages, and if you’re anything like us you’ll like a bit of good food thrown into the mix too!

Want us at your festival?

If you would like us to run Kids Kitchen sessions at your event or festival – no matter how big or small – please get in touch.

We can run sessions for groups of all sizes, and even for older children. We can run them at any hour of the day (our ‘Early Risers’ session’ is incredibly popular as a way to keep the kids quiet while the grown ups recover from the night before!) and we provide all the equipment and ingredients. All we need is a suitable space to run the session. We don’t even need cooking equipment!

We have a number of packages and pricing plans available, but if you would like something more bespoke that’s fine too.

Get in touch with our festivals team at info@kidskitchen.org.uk to tell us what you would like for kids at your festival this year!

"Our festival guests loved Kids Kitchen and specifically asked for the workshops to return! The basic cookery lessons were set at the right level for the morning - children (and their adults) got a tasty snack before kicking off the day. The fun, slightly messy activity drew in kids and adults alike - parents and children shared in making food together. It was lovely to see children interested in making food and their adults being there by their side. You put a great deal of thought into the ingredients you bought and ensuring that the equipment was easy to use for all ages."

Popular sessions

Early Risers

Although we'd all love a relaxing and quiet start to our festival morning, in reality it's rarely possible. In this session kids and their parents can prepare a delicious breakfast together - and even take some back to the tent for anyone lucky enough not to be on the early shift that day!

Including: Sunshine Bars, Super Energy Balls, Breakfast Burritos

Make Your Own Lunch

All ages, from-scratch, hands-on activity which results in a tasty lunch made almost exclusively by small hands. The great thing about festival activities is that older kids mingle with younger, giving each other ideas and helping each other along the way.

Including: Sassy Summer Rolls, Couscous Volcanoes, Beany Burritos

Fancy coming to a festival for free?

We are always looking for volunteers to run Kids Kitchen sessions at festivals in return for a free festival experience. You don’t need any experience, you can bring your kids (and your mates if there are a few of you interested – we will make sure there is plenty of time for you all to enjoy the entertainment) and we will provide all the training, recipes and equipment you need, plus reimburse travel expenses.

If you’re interested email info@kidskitchen.org.uk and tell us a bit about yourself, and we’ll be in touch to make plans.
