Here at Kids Kitchen we are looking forward to a summer of Fun, Food and Family Friendly Festivals! This festival season is especially exciting for us because we are taking our sessions further afield than ever before, and we are looking forward to meeting lots of new faces.
We are so passionate about our festivals and pop ups because one of our main aims as a social enterprise is to bring our sessions to those who need it most, and these one off events are how we raise funds to allow us to grow the Kids kitchen dream.
To warm up (quite literally – we were blessed with an incredibly sunny weekend!) for the main festival season we kicked off with 2 great festivals on one day – in South East London we were at Bellingham Festival at Bellingham Green where Aneta created a taste explosion with cous cous volcanoes.
Bellingham is really special to us because we run monthly sessions there and Kids Kitchen has really become part of the local community. We saw lots of new and familiar faces and we sold out of ingredients because it was so popular!
On the same weekend in East London Carmen was also basking in the sun at Mariam’s garden where she led sessions making cous cous volcanoes and a well needed refreshing lemon, mint and lavender lemonade. It looked as beautiful as it tasted!
We’ve got lots of other festivals lined up throughout the summer including CarFest North and South, Chilled in a Field and Starry Skies so keep an eye on our blog to find out more!
